JGAP-certified farm

Berry’s Baton has earned JGAP farm certification,
which confirms that our farming processes are properly managed

JGAP is a certification program promoted by the Japan GAP Foundation. It is awarded to farms that meet more than 100 audit criteria covering farm management, the proper use of agricultural chemicals, and the safety of fertilizers and water.
Specifically, it shows that a farm meets standards for food safety (no issues with pesticide residues, pathogenic bacteria, foreign matter or radioactivity), environmental conservation (efforts aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals), worker safety (preventing injuries and accidents), and human rights and welfare (thorough labor management and a workplace where people enjoy their work).
Much of what we had already been doing to help our customers and colleagues feel excited and happy through safe, delicious strawberries closely aligned with the JGAP certification criteria.
