is known as Japan’s No.1 strawberry town
Moka City in Tochigi Prefecture, where the Berry’s Baton farm is located, is known as Japan’s No.1 strawberry town.
Tochigi Prefecture ranks first in Japan for both strawberry harvest volume and cultivated area. Within Tochigi, Moka has the largest cultivated area (about 144 hectares), where around 460 farming households produce an estimated 7,111 tonnes a year.

Berry’s Baton has grown strawberries in Moka City for 40 years. Today, we remain one of Moka’s leading strawberry growers, ranking among the top in both cultivated area and harvest volume.

Tochiaika
- Characteristics
- Tochiaika is characterized by its beautiful glossy red color and rich, intense sweetness. It can be harvested from late October. The berries are medium-sized. When sliced in half, they reveal a cute, heart-shaped cross-section.

Tochiotome
- Characteristics
- Tochiotome is the most widely cultivated strawberry variety in eastern Japan, developed through breeding in Tochigi Prefecture. Tochiotome is prized for its balanced sweetness, refreshing acidity, and delicate, tender texture. Rich in juice, it offers a wonderfully juicy and refreshing taste.
